From Augusta: Take route 3 to coastal route 1&3 in Belfast, turn right and stay on 1&3 to Bucksport, at the light in Bucksport turn right and stay on 1&3 to Ellworth.
When you come into Ellsworth you will come down hill into town, go through the first light to the second light and take a right. Stay in the right lane all the way through town past McDonalds, you will now be on route 3 which will take you on to the Island. You will go over a small bridge onto the Island and you will want to bear right onto route 102. Take 102 through Somesville, through South West Harbor till you come to the Texico Station, at the station take a left and go about one mile till you come to the Bass Harbor Post office, take a right after the Post Office which is McMullen AV. The first building on the right will be the rental.
From Bangor: Take route 1A Coastal route to Ellsworth, go straight through Ellsworth up past the McDonalds and take route 3 to the Island and follow the same directions above.
